The defending champion Golden State Warriors will face the Washington Wizards in Tokyo on Sept. 30 for the NBA Japan Games 2022, kicking off the 2022 NBA preseason. It will be the Warriors’ first appearance outside of North America since playing the Timberwolves in Tokyo in 2022/23.
Each NBA team plays four to six preseason games before the regular season begins on Oct. 14.
How should you watch the NBA preseason?
The NBA Japan games will be broadcast live in Japan on NBA Rakuten, the NBA Rakuten YouTube channel, and Rakuten TV, as well as on NBA TV and NBC Sports Washington in the United States.
For the rest of the preseason games, the best option to watch is through DirecTV Stream, which offers a limited free trial and is the only streaming service that covers the YES Network. The games will also be available on FuboTV, NBA TV, and TNT.

Both the Pelicans and the Heat are eager to build on their successful seasons last year. Miami was the top seed in the Eastern Conference coming into the playoffs, while New Orleans fought hard against the Phoenix Suns.
