An upcoming stage race for elite road cyclists will take place in Italy called Tirreno-Adriatico. The elite competition is a component of the UCI’s (Union Cycliste Internationale) yearly UCI World Tour.

The forthcoming Tirreno-Adriatico will be the competition’s 58th iteration overall. It will be the seventh competition of the current 2023 UCI World Tour. Participants will use this race, as they do every year, as a training run for the Giro d’Italia.

The Italian road cycling competition this year will consist of 7 rounds. The race will begin on Monday at Camaiore and last for one week, finishing in San Benedetto del Tronto. Participants in the race will have to travel about 1,170.5 km.

A total of 25 teams will compete in the upcoming UCI World Tour event in Italy. 18 of them will be from the UCI WorldTeams group, and the remaining 7 will be from UCI ProTeams.

Where will the Cycling event be held?

Tirreno-Adriatico 2023 will be held in the Central Italy region every year. The first stage of the event will begin in Camaiore. Following a week, the final stage race will take the participants to San Benedetto del Tronto. A total of 1,170.5 km distance will be crossed be each competitor.

The first day will be an individual time trial race. The rest will be a standard point-to-point race. This event will feature some hilly and mountain climb tracks on the 4th, 5th and 6th stages. The rest of the courses will be relatively flat.
