Barnett Jr., who is 36 years old, competed for the last time in July when he defeated Jarod Grant, the titleholder at the time, to win the promotion’s interim bantamweight championship at BKFC Fight Night: Tampa 2. He has now won 4 of his last five fights for the organization, including this most recent victory.
Herrera, who is 32 years old and participated in mixed martial arts for the last time in 2018, is a former competitor for the UFC. Herrera stopped Abdiel Velazquez with punches in Round 2 of their bout at BKFC 19, which took place in July. This victory was Herrera’s first in the BKFC.
At the event known as BKFC-19, which took place on July 23, 2021, the dynamic and highly skilled Herrera, who is now rated second in the flyweight class, made an impressive entrance onto the scene with a devastating second-round knockout of Abdiel Velazquez. Herrera had a record of 10-3 in mixed martial arts competition, including four bouts in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), prior to joining the squared circle.
Middleweight competitors Jared ‘Captain Deadpool’ Warren of Florida and ‘Action’ Jay Jackson of Bay City, Michigan, square off as the co-main event of BKFC-32. After knocking out Terry Janoski in the third round of their fight at BKFC-25 on May 6, 2022, Jackson is looking to keep adding victories to his record.
