Another Significant Main Event
Many fans regard Luis “Baboon” Palomino as the most dominant fighter to grace the Squared Circle during the first 50 events of BKFC 34 existence.
The statistics speak for themselves. Palomino is undefeated and has long topped the BKFC Pound-for-Pound rankings. He is also a former BKFC World Lightweight Champion who recently added to his legacy by increasing weight and earning the BKFC World Welterweight Championship.
On Saturday, he will attempt to become the first man to defend a BKFC World Championship five times as he defends his Lightweight Title against his most formidable opponent yet, Tom “A Gentleman of Violence” Shoaff. Shoaff, a successful MMA fighter before switching to bare-knuckle boxing, is 4-3 in BKFC.
Even though it took him a few tries to get his footing in the Squared Circle, Shoaff has established himself as one of the sport’s most game and deadly fighters. He’ll be looking for his fourth consecutive knockout win over Palomino.
On the Line: Middleweight Gold
The unbeaten Francesco Ricchi defends his BKFC World Middleweight Championship for the first time against challenger David “Redneck” Mundell in Saturday’s highly anticipated Co-Main Event. Both heavy-handed warriors left a trail of carnage in the lead-up to this title battle. Ricchi has a perfect 5-0 record, while Mundell has a 5-1 record with three straight wins. Ricchi has four knockout victories, while Mundell is looking for his fourth stoppage victory in the BKFC Squared Circle.
Card stacked from top to bottom
Nate Shook of BKFC Matchmaker put up a complete slate of intriguing, engaging, and very contested matches for Saturday in Hollywood, FL. In the main event, Blake “Bad” Davis hopes to improve to 2-0 in the Squared Circle with a second straight first-round knockout of William “The 208 Underdog” Dunkle (0-1). Davis is a professional boxer with a 9-0 record, and Dunkle is an MMA fighter with a 6-3 record and three knockouts.
BKFC 34 also includes a featherweight fight between Howard “HD” Davis (2-0-1) and Louie “El Loco” Lopez (2-1), a cruiserweight fight between Chris “Golden Gloves” Sarro (2-3) and Stephen “Tomahawk” Townsel (1-1), and the return of UFC vet Jocelyn “Lights Out” Lybarger (0-1) against fellow top women’s flyweight prospect Christine Vicens (1-0).
His next fight is against one of, if not the best bare knuckle boxers in the world.
Former World Series of Fighting (WSOF) title contender Luis Palomino (7-0) will defend his BKFC lightweight championship against Tom Shoaff (4-3) at BKFC 34, which is set for December 3 at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Fla.
Palomino, 42, has been undefeated since joining BKFC in early 2020. In his second BKFC appearance, he won the lightweight title in 45 seconds against Isaac Vallie-Flagg in July 2020. Palomino went to 170 pounds in June after four consecutive title defences and defeated Elvin Brito by a unanimous decision to become a double champion.
Before his bare-knuckle turnaround, Shoaff, 33, was an 11-4 MMA fighter. After a 1-3 start, Shoaff knocked off Nathan Mitchell, Josh Wright, and Bruce Lutchmedial to earn a title chance.
