The weather forecast for the Xfinity 500:
Martinsville’s weather forecast is identical to that of the spring race: mostly cloudy and cold, with a high of 61 degrees. That’s terrible news for race fans because the April 9th event resembled more of a parade than a race, with tire deterioration barely an issue.

Predictions for the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity 500 race at Martinsville
Kyle Busch is the model’s favorite for the 2022 Xfinity 500, despite being a 10-1 longshot in the most recent 2022 NASCAR at Martinsville odds. Anyone seeking for a big income should look into him. Busch has already been ruled out of the 2022 NASCAR Playoffs, but it’s difficult to dismiss a two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion with 60 career victories.
Busch has finished in the top ten in each of his previous three races, including third-place finishes at the Charlotte Road Course and the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He finished seventh at Martinsville earlier this year and has only finished outside the top ten in two of his last 14 appearances on the legendary track. And a huge surprise: Chase Elliott, the 13-2 favorite in Vegas, stumbles badly and falls out of the top five. The starting lineup for the 2022 Xfinity 500 offers significantly better value. Elliott won the 2020 Xfinity 500 at Martinsville, but his past two appearances there have been extremely dismal.
Elliott won the 2022 Blue Emu Maximum Pain Relief 400 after starting on pole and leading 185 laps. Elliott began second in the 2021 Xfinity 500 and led 289 laps before falling all the way back to 16th at the finish. Elliott is third in the 2022 NASCAR standings, and with an 11-point lead over bubble boy Denny Hamlin, he’ll likely be racing for points rather than taking risks for the win with a berth in the championship finals on the line on Sunday.
