Wrestling fans are in for a treat on the first Friday in 2023, as AEW Rampage and, immediately following that, AEW Battle of the Belts V will both take place on the same night. Both events will be massive. This coming Friday night, three of the most valuable prizes in the history of All Elite Wrestling will be up for grabs, and the #AllElite faithful can be certain that it will be an hour of television that they can dig their teeth into.

Without further ado, AEW will be going back to Portland, Oregon, this coming Friday, for the fifth round of the Battle of the Belts. During Wednesday Night Dynamite, the business made some announcements regarding fresh matches for the televised special.

AEW has announced that Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal will challenge The Acclaimed for their World Tag Team Championship at Battle of the Belts V in a match billed as “No Holds Barred.” The Acclaimed will defend their title.

After the dramatic turns of events that took place during Dynamite tonight, the bout was scheduled. Due to the fact that Double J and Lethal won the bout by dishonest means, the referee, Aubrey Edwards, instructed the math official to start the contest again.

Skye Blue will also be one of the opponents that Jade Cargill will defend the TBS Championship against.

A sneak peeks at the AEW Battle of the Belts V card is presented here. Let’s take it to step by step.

How to watch AEW Battle of the Belts V Live & Start Time

Fans in the United States may begin watching Start Battle of the Belts V at 11 p.m. Eastern Time and 10 p.m. Central Time. This means that fans in the United Kingdom who want to see the event air live will have to begin watching at 4 a.m. GMT.

War to the Finish for the Gold of the Entire Atlantic

Kip Sabian has had his sights set on capturing the AEW All-Atlantic Championship ever since he made his comeback to AEW in August of last year. In order to get there, he has pushed the current champion, PAC, to his maximum limit. Sabian has been dead set on winning gold, and he will have another opportunity to do it this coming Friday night when he faces up against Orange Cassidy, who is the reigning champion.

“Freshly Squeezed” has faced up against all competitors, and it has come out on top in a decisive fashion every single time. Even for a talented fighter like Kip Sabian, beating Cassidy will be difficult because he has already successfully defended his championship eight times. Will Kip Sabian eventually get to the highest position in AEW? Or will Orange Cassidy be able to successfully defend his crown for the tenth time?

The Whole Thing Is Up in the Air

To this point, Jade Cargill’s status as the first-ever and current TBS Champion has proven indisputable without a shadow of a doubt. Cargill is now undefeated coming into the new year with a record of 46-0 throughout her whole career in AEW. Just this past week on AEW Dynamite, Jade would go 47-0 after she and Red Velvet beat former “Baddie” Kiera Hogan, and her challenger this Friday night Skye Blue. Skye Blue’s match would take place on Friday night.

Skye’s professional life is only getting started and is still in its infant stage. In spite of this, Blue is an incredible opponent who has a promising future ahead of her in her rapidly developing career. This coming Friday night, she will have the chance of a lifetime to unseat Jade as the reigning TBS Champion and put an end to a legendary run of not losing a match.

It’s Cargill vs Skye, and both their winning streaks and titles are on the line. The fifth instalment of the AEW Battle of the Belts is where everything will be decided.
