The World Mixed Doubles, an invitational event, kicks off the 2022-23 snooker season this weekend. The tournament features the sport’s top men’s and women’s players, including Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump, Neil Robertson, Reanne Evans, and Ng On-yee. This one-of-a-kind pairs format has been deemed a “great leap” for women’s snooker.
For the first time in over two decades, mixed doubles snooker is back in competition, with the biggest names in the men’s and women’s game teaming up to compete this weekend.
The 2022 World Mixed Doubles is an invitational event in which Ronnie O’Sullivan, who has not played since July, and Neil Robertson, who has not picked up a cue in front of a crowd since the World Championships, will compete.
The other two men in the competition are Judd Trump and Mark Selby.

Reanne Evans, a 12-time world champion, and current champion Nutcharut Wongharuthai are two of the women’s stars, with Rebecca Kenna and Ng On-Yee joining them.
