where will the Laver Cup be held in 2022?
The Laver Cup 2022 will be held at London’s O2 Arena, an indoor stadium built beneath the renowned Millennium Dome. The venue is hosting the Laver Cup for the first time, with prior editions held in Prague, Chicago, Geneva, and Boston.

What is the Laver Cup 2022 format?
Each day will feature both singles and doubles matches, with two four-game sessions on days 1 and 2 and a single four-game session on Sunday.
To win, a team must accumulate 13 points, one point for each victory on the first day, two points for each on the second day, and three points for each on the third.
If a team only wins one match on the last day of competition to gain 13 points, the other scheduled matches will be replaced with an exhibition match following the trophy ceremony.
If the competition is still deadlocked after 12 matches, the victor will be decided by a last overtime doubles match.

Team Europe’s lineup reads like a who’s who of modern tennis, including Federer (41), Rafael Nadal (36), Novak Djokovic (35) and Andy Murray (35), as well as rising players Casper Ruud (23) and Stefanos Tsitsipas (35). (24).
Federer, who will retire with two Olympic medals, including doubles gold from Beijing 2008, will only compete in doubles, but the possibility of his final game taking place with longtime adversary Nadal is tantalizing.

Serbia’s Djokovic, who holds the record for the most weeks as world No. 1, is the final of the Big Three to compete in this year’s Laver Cup (373 weeks). Djokovic has won 21 Grand Slams in his career and is now ranked seventh in the world.
Team Europe’s other members are no slouches, either, with Britain’s twice Olympic gold medalist Murray joining Norway’s World No. 2 Ruud and Greece’s World No. 6 Tsitsipas.

While Team World may appear to be the underdogs on paper, they do have some of the most interesting players on the tour today. Taylor Fritz of the United States is the team’s highest-ranked player, having had a successful year that included a quarter-final appearance at Wimbledon. Félix Auger-Aliassime of Canada is another young star with plenty of talent, having reached the semi-finals of the US Open in 2021, as well as the quarter-finals of both Wimbledon in 2021 and this year’s Australian Open.
Argentina’s Diego Schwartzman is rated 19th in the world, while Frances Tiafoe – a replacement for compatriot John Isner – reached the US Open semi-finals this year and, at 24, is still on the rise.
Australia’s Alex de Minaur, 23, is rated 22nd in the world, while the United States’ Jack Sock, 29, is an Olympic men’s doubles gold medalist from Rio 2016.
Team World will be hoping that their youthful exuberance would triumph over a European team comprised mostly of veterans – albeit legends.
