The only prior European match between FC Red Bull Salzburg and Chelsea was a 1-1 tie on MD2 earlier this season.

Manchester City has won all three of its UEFA Champions League games against Borussia Dortmund, all by a score of 2-1. In the Champions League, no team has ever beaten another by the same score in four consecutive games (Bayern Munich beat Arsenal 5-1 three in a row between 2015 and 2017).
Manchester City has won 14 of their past 16 UEFA Champions League games against German opponents (D1 L1), however, they did lose their most recent away encounter 2-1 to RB Leipzig. In the competition, City has won 16 games against German opponents, six more than any other country.

Juventus vs. Benfica
Benfica has won all three of their European home matches against Juventus, including a 2-0 win in the European Cup semi-final in 1968, a 2-1 win in the UEFA Cup in 1993, and a 2-1 win in the Europa League in 2014.
Juventus has only won one of its seven European games against Benfica (D1 L5), a 3-0 UEFA Cup triumph in March 1993 with goals from Jurgen Kohler, Dino Baggio, and Fabrizio Ravanelli.
For the second straight season, Benfica hopes to reach the UEFA Champions League knockout stages. They have only previously emerged from the group stages in back-to-back editions once, in 2015-16 and 2016-17, both under Rui Vitória.
