The Players Championship snooker kicks off with many top stars, including the leader of the global rankings for the past year, Mark Allen.
Allen has had an outstanding start to the 2022–2023 season, which has earned him the top seed for the competition and gives him the appearance of being the player to defeat in Wolverhampton.

The best 16 players on the one-year list are going to be competing against each other early in the week. Mark Selby, Kyren Wilson, and Shaun Murphy are also going to be participating in these matches.

Both the defending champion, Neil Robertson and Ronnie O’Sullivan, were eliminated in the first round, but the recently crowned champion of the Welsh Open, Robert Milkins, is feeling confident heading into this competition.

The Milkman’s career looked like it was coming to an end in 2021, but he won his first title, the Gibraltar Open, in 2022, and he followed that up with a victory in Llandudno just a week ago, which gave him a fresh lease on life in the game.
