In what should be a spectacular nine days of action in York, the 25-year-old will face tight opposition from some of the biggest names in snooker, including Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump, Neil Robertson, and Mark Selby.
O’Sullivan in 2018, Ding Junhui in 2019, Robertson in 2020, and Zhao in 2021 are the four players who have taken home the title of champion in the most recent four iterations of the UK Championship.
After O’Sullivan’s victory over Judd Trump in the Champion of Champions tournament, he commented, only partially in jest, that he was going to win this year’s title.

What Dates Are Available For The UK Championship 2022? And Where?
At the Barbican Centre, which is located in York, the United Kingdom Championship will take place between November 12 and November 20.
The United Kingdom Championship has been held at this facility, which can accommodate up to 1,500 guests for the better part of this century.

What Types Of Competitions Will Be Available At The UK Championships 2022?
Because of a change in the tournament’s format, the top 16 players in the rankings will proceed directly to the round of 32, which will start this Saturday. However, qualification for the UK Championship is still going on.
Everyone who is anyone is competing in the event, and they are all waiting with bated breath to find out who they will face in the first round of the main draw.
Since 2014, the UK Championship has used a best-of-11 format for each round, including the semi-finals. Following the completion of the first four games in the session, there is a break for the duration of the middle session.
The championship match on November 20 will consist of the best of 19 frames.
UK Championship 2022 Preview
Because of some recent changes, the structure of this year’s UK Championship will be similar to that of the World Championship. In addition to the top 16 seeds, there will be 16 more qualifiers competing in the main event.
The qualifying round will take place at Ponds Forge from November 5 through November 10, and it will include a total of 128 players, including 112 professionals and 16 amateurs.
The culmination of the competition will take place at the York Barbican between November 12 and 20, and the total prize pool has been increased from £1,009,000 to £1,205,0000, with the first prize increasing from £200,000 to £250,000.
Stephen Maguire, Ding Junhui, Matthew Stevens, and Jimmy White are all former champions of the United Kingdom, and they are among the famous names competing in qualifying.

Several notable golfers, including Ali Carter, Graeme Dott, Zhou Yuelong, Anthony McGill, and David Gilbert, are among those who will attempt to book a berth in the first Triple Crown competition of the year.
Every qualifying match will be played throughout 11 frames, with players entering from Rounds 1-3 according to where they currently stand in the rankings.
