On Tuesday, the media firm Teton Ridge revealed that the 2023 rodeo will take place at Globe Life Field in Arlington. On March 8–11, they’ll take over the ballpark. A variety of events will give spectators and athletes an all-encompassing, arena-wide experience. This includes star-studded music, The American Contender Tournament Finals, and The American Performance Horseman.

According to Teton Ridge Sports President Joe Loverro, “this move to Globe Life Field is focused on providing fans and athletes with a truly immersive, never-been-done celebration of western sports and culture at one, world-class location. Since acquiring The American Rodeo last year, Teton Ridge’s goal has been to popularize western sports on a larger scale and to develop this storied competition into The Crown Jewel of Rodeo, as its name implies.

On Saturday, March 11 at 10 p.m. ET / 9 p.m. CT, the network will broadcast the eagerly awaited championship round of The American Rodeo, the Crown Jewel of RodeoTM, live from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

Joe Loverro, CEO of Teton Ridge Sports, said, “Our team is eager to collaborate with INSP once more. “We are aware that excitement is growing as the event draws closer and that spectators will be rooting for their favourite champion or even a local hero who is a Contender. As we crown the 2023 champions of The American Rodeo, fans and audiences across the nation will have the chance to witness some of the most gripping moments and on-the-dirt action in rodeo live.

Acquired by Teton Ridge in late 2021, The American Rodeo, celebrating its 10th year, is the only rodeo where the pros compete against “the joes and the janes,” featuring competitors in all eight traditional rodeo disciplines: barrel racing, breakaway roping, steer wrestling, team roping (heading and heeling), tie-down roping, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding and bull riding.

Dale Ardizzone, COO of INSP, said: “We are delighted to collaborate with Teton Ridge for this fast-paced, action-packed live competition. “Rodeos are a venerable custom that honour the fortitude and prowess of the American cowboy. In its capacity as the industry’s preeminent producer of western television shows and motion pictures, INSP salutes the people who uphold these customs and pass them on to future generations.

The industry-leading event is the focal point of Teton Ridge’s The American Western Weekend in Arlington, March 8–11, with an unrivalled total purse of more than $6 million in 2023, nonstop rodeo action, live music from multi-platinum recording artist Cody Johnson, entertainment, and more.
