Week one of the 2022 NFL season provided plenty of fodder for discussion, with the Patriots vs Steelers both generating headlines (albeit for different reasons). Now, the two longtime AFC opponents prepare to square off in Pittsburgh.

The Steelers, on the other hand, are coming off a dramatic 23-20 overtime triumph over Joe Burrow and the Bengals, the reigning AFC champs.
The Pittsburgh defense stymied Burrow all day, forcing him to turn the ball over five times. However, the offense’s dismal performance, led by new starter Mitch Trubisky, allowed the Bengals to win in the final seconds.
Burrow connected with Ja’Marr Chase for a touchdown as the clock struck zeroes, but Minkah Fitzpatrick blocked the next extra-point try, sending the game to overtime. After a few more missed kicks in overtime, Chris Boswell converted on a 53-yard field goal to give the Steelers a surprising victory.
However, it came at a cost, as Pittsburgh’s standout linebacker T.J. Watt suffered a pectoral injury that will keep him out indefinitely.

New England’s loss dropped them to 0-1 while Pittsburgh’s win moved them to 1-0. Because Pittsburgh forced 5 turnovers against Cincinnati, New England will need to be extremely careful with the ball.
