The wait for the Georgia Bulldogs vs TCU Horned Frogs to determine college football champions is almost over.
The College Football Playoff National Championship 2023 will be played at SoFi Stadium on Monday, January 9 (1/9/2023) between the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs and the No. 3 TCU Horned Frogs.
This season, the TCU Horned Frogs went 13-1 and advanced to the College Football Playoff Semifinals at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, where they defeated No. 2 Michigan 51-45.
But now they face their toughest test yet: the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs. Georgia was unbeaten in 2022, and they now have a chance to become the first program since Alabama in 2011-2012 to win back-to-back national crowns.

Teams have been in Los Angeles for several days as they prepare for the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. The Bulldogs are attempting to defend their 2022 title, while TCU is completing the team’s Cinderella journey.
Wes Harris, TCU’s massive right guard, and his teammates are hearing how prominent and physical their next opponent is and how much of an underdog they are against Georgia in the national championship game.
They heard a lot of the same things as they prepared for their College Football Playoff semifinal against Big Ten champion Michigan, who is sitting at home while the Horned Frogs (13-1) prepare to face the defending national champs on Monday night.

“It just kind of lights a fire beneath you,” Harris explained Tuesday. “It definitely gave us a little extra juice. We were sick of hearing about it… and were able to make a statement to demonstrate that we, too, were a physical football team.”
The College Football Playoff Championship has been set, and it will feature an SEC-Big 12 matchup. Georgia will face TCU at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, with the Bulldogs attempting to repeat and TCU seeking its first championship since 1938.
TCU is trying to break the Big 12’s championship drought, which began with Texas in 2005. Meanwhile, Georgia will be the big dog and the No. 1 seed in this battle.
TCU defeated Michigan in dramatic fashion to advance to this stage, with an absolute barnburner of a second half. TCU won that game. 51-45, thanks to an exceptionally excellent performance on the ground, continuing its winning streak in style.
Georgia, meanwhile, went down to the wire against Ohio State, winning 42-41 after Ohio State missed a 50-yard ( goal wide left as time expired. After a rocky start, Stetson Bennett and Georgia battled back to defeat the Buckeyes and earn a crack at a second consecutive national championship.
