MotoGP Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix returns to one of the quickest circuits in the world, Phillip Island, this weekend for the first time in three years.

Following several cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix will be held for the first time since 2019. Here are all of the important details for this year’s event. Phillip Island, like recent races at Motegi and Buriram, will host its first MotoGP race since 2019 after the Covid-19 outbreak caused back-to-back withdrawals from the calendar in 2020 and 2021.

Following his stunning performance in wet conditions in Thailand, Miguel Oliveira heads into the Australian Grand Prix as the newest MotoGP winner, but all eyes will be on home favourite Jack Miller.

Miller has not only been the most in-form rider over the last two rounds, but he has also pulled himself into title contention, sitting 40 points behind series leader Fabio Quartararo.

In 2022, the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix will make a victorious return to Phillip Island.

The fast-flowing Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, which is well-known among riders, will once again set the setting for an exciting weekend as teams push their machines to the utmost from 14-16 October 2022*.

Next year’s event, a highlight on Australia’s sporting calendar, is shaping up to be another unforgettable experience, with two Australians scheduled to compete in the elite class.

When will the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix being held in 2022?

The Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix will take place on October 14-16, 2022.

Practice will take place on Friday, followed by qualifying on Saturday and the race on Sunday.

Throughout the weekend, the Moto2 and Moto3 models will also be on display.
