UFC Tonight: Fight Night: Sandhagen vs. Song, also known as UFC Vegas 60, is returning to the Apex Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will take place on Saturday, September 17, and will include several thrilling matchups for spectators.

Chidi Njokuani will face Gregory Rodrigues in a middleweight fight in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night. ‘Chidi Bang Bang’ will go for his sixth straight stoppage victory against the Brazilian, who is also famed for his finishing skills.

At UFC Fight Night: Sandhagen vs. Song, combat action inside the Octagon returns to the UFC Apex facility. The main event will be a bantamweight fight between Cory “The Sandman” Sandhagen and Song “The Kung Fu Monkey” Yadong.

Sandhagen is 14-4, and the #4 ranked Bantamweight in the world, fighting out of Aurora, Colorado. He’s a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, yet he’s lost two straight battles to past bantamweight champs. The Sandman is one of the division’s greatest strikers, having fought close fights against Petr Yan and TJ Dillashaw in his past two fights.

Song Yadong, who was born in China and now fights out of Sacramento, California, is on a three-fight winning streak and has gone unbeaten in 12 of his last 13 contests. The #10 ranked Bantamweight has a career record of 19-5-1 and is coming off a first-round knockout of Marlon Moraes in March. The Kung Fu Monkey’s future seems bright after ESPN named him the best under-25 fighter in all of MMA in 2021.

UFC Fight Night: Sandhagen vs. Song Preview:

Sandhagen enters the match as the No. 4 ranked Bantamweight. However, he has lost his last two fights, both to former champions Petr Yan and TJ Dillashaw. The Aurora, Colorado native currently has a 14-4 career record, 7-3 in the UFC, with his sole defeat coming against current championship holder Aljamain Sterling.

Song has a 19-5-1 career record and has been on a roll recently. The Chinese fighter has won three consecutive fights and is unbeaten in 12 of his last 13 matches. With an 8-1-1 career record, the tenth-ranked competitor in the division is regarded as one of the top up-and-coming MMA fighters. Yadong is seeking to build on his March first-round knockout of Marlon Moraes.

Another intriguing fight on Saturday’s bill is a Featherweight clash between Giga Chikadze and Sodiq Yussuff, two of the division’s best. Chikadze seeks to rebound after Calvin Kattar ended his nine-fight winning streak, while Yusuff has won seven of his previous eight professional fights dating back to 2018.
