KSW 78 is the Polish mixed martial arts promotion “Konfrontacja Sztuk Walkianticipated “‘s calendar opening event in 2023. The tournament, which will include nine bouts, is set to take place this Saturday in Szczecin, Poland.
There will be nine main card fights and two preliminary fights at the forthcoming KSW event. Michal Materla and Kendall Groove will compete for the title. They previously clashed once in 2013. Materla won the match by unanimous decision.
Aside from the spectacular main event, the event will also include a highly anticipated middleweight fight between two Eastern European professionals. In the co-main event, Tomasz Romanowski will fight Radoslaw Paczuski. This will be their first confrontation.
Michal “Capio” Materla is a Polish MMA fighter. He is presently ranked second in the Polish and the European Eastern pro heavyweight rankings. Materla has a professional record of 31 victories and 9 defeats. Last year, he competed in KSW 66 and 70. In January, Materla defeated Jason Radcliffe. However, he was defeated by Mariusz Pudzianowski later in May.
Kendal Grove is an American MMA fighter. He goes by the ring handle “Da Spyder” and has a professional record of 24 wins and 18 losses. Grove last fought in 2020, losing by TKO to Hector Lombard. He had lost to Felipe Fogolin through choke a year previously. Grove’s most recent victory came in August of 2019 over Anthony Ruiz.
