Bellator 296: Mousasi vs. Edwards is followed by a first-round showdown in the lightweight grand prix between Brent Primus and Mansour Barnaoui in the co-main event. Brent Primus replaces Sydney Outlaw in the Grand Prix, while Monsour Barnaoui looks to extend his winning streak on Friday night.

Brent Primus (11-3) is a former Bellator lightweight champion who lost in 2017. Primus has gone 4-2 since losing the rematch against Chandler, but he is only 1-2 in his previous three fights. He’ll be seeking for a strong win against the surging Monsour Barnaoui to get closer to that $1 million dollar prize.

Monsour Barnaoui (20-4) is on a tear, having won eight consecutive matches dating back to 2016. He recently defeated Adam Piccolotti, a veteran Bellator lightweight division staple. When he faces Brent Primus on Friday night, he will be seeking the greatest win of his Bellator MMA career.
