The FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship 2022 will be the eighteenth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship, a quadrennial international men’s volleyball championship organized by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). The tournament will be held in Poland from 23 September to 11 October 2022. This will be the first edition of the match to feature 32 teams.
The 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship will be held in ten venues across Poland from 23 Septemer to 11 October 2022. The tournament will be co-hosted by the cities of Warsaw, Katowice, Wrocław, Łódź and Kraków.
The tournament will feature 32 teams, divided into eight groups of four. The top three teams from each group will advance to the second round, where they will be placed into two new groups of six. The top four teams from each will go to the quarter-finals. The tournament will proceed with a knockout format until the final.
The 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship will be broadcast live in over 200 countries. In Poland, the tournament will be informed by Polsat Sport.
As the host nation, Poland automatically qualified for the tournament. The other 31 teams will be eligible through their respective continental confederations:

This will be the second time Poland has hosted the Men’s World Championship, the first being in 1974. They will also become the first European country to host the event twice.
The format for the tournament will see two pools of four teams, each playing the other in a round-robin format. The top team from each collection will advance to the semifinals, while the second and third-placed teams from each pool will play in a quarterfinal playoff. The winners of the quarterfinals will then move to the semifinals.
The loser of the final will play in a third-place playoff, while the winner will be crowned world champions.
This will be the first time the Men’s World Championship has been held in Poland since 2006 when they hosted the Women’s World Championship.
