This week, the last race of the 2022 F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix season will take place in Abu Dhabi. With the conclusion of this race, the season will officially come to a close.
Even though the 2021 event was the site of the contentious title fight between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, both titles were already decided in favor of Max Verstappen and Red Bull well in advance of this year’s event.
Despite this, there are still a lot of things up for grabs. Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc have scored the same points thus far in the World Championship race for position 2.
In other news, Mercedes has narrowed the distance between themselves and the second-placed Ferrari team in the Constructors’ standings, which now stands at 19 points. Will the Silver Arrows achieve the same level of success as they did in the Brazilian Grand Prix?
We will provide exclusive interviews, news, and commentary throughout the weekend at the Yas Marina Circuit.

F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Preview
Formula One is back in action this weekend for the final race of the 2022 season, which will take place in Abu Dhabi. The races in Brazil took place just a few days ago.
This weekend is the last round of the action-packed 2022 Formula One season, which will be held in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. There are championship positions still up for grabs in both the drivers’ and teams’ standings, so the racing should be exciting.
On a weekend that will formally recognize Max Verstappen as a two-time world champion and that will see Red Bull become the constructor’s champions for the first time since 2013, there is still a lot to play for, not the least of which is the battle for second place in the driver’s standings.
After a thrilling performance at the Brazilian Grand Prix the last time out, Red Bull’s Sergio Perez and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc will head into the final race weekend of the season equal for first place on 290 points.
It caused a stir in Sao Paulo when Verstappen disobeyed team orders and would not let teammate Perez pass him on the penultimate lap. This was done so that Perez would have the advantage going into the season’s final race in the United Arab Emirates.
The Dutch driver has since stated that he will do whatever it takes to assist Perez in claiming the second spot in Abu Dhabi if necessary as Red Bull hunts for a first-ever one-two finish in the drivers’ championship; however, the relationship between the two drivers continues to be icy for the time being.
There are still other fights to be waged in the constructors’ rankings, as Mercedes still has a chance to overtake Ferrari and move into second place after capturing first and second place in Brazil thanks to George Russell and Lewis Hamilton.
Other teams remaining in contention for positions include Alfa Romeo and Aston Martin for position six, Haas and AlphaTauri for position eight, and McLaren. They are hoping to pass Alpine on the last weekend of the season.
The prediction for the F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix’s weather
Conditions are forecast to be warm and sunny at the Yas Marina track during the whole race weekend, with only a slight risk of precipitation. On Sunday, the race’s beginning is expected to occur in temperatures as high as 29 degrees Celsius, two degrees higher than the last Brazilian GP.
