This Friday, February 17, an evening organized by the promoter Promo Boxe Italia is being held in Massa (Italy) in which we will be able to enjoy several fights with an Italian title and in which we will have a Spanish presence in the stellar fight.
Our fighter, José Antonio Sánchez “Rayito” (15-0-1, 6 KO) from Almeria, travels to the home of Italian champion Davide Tassi (14-0, 6 KO) to fight for a WBC intermediate featherweight title (Silver International). The two boxers have a very similar undefeated record and a very even fight is expected, although the Spaniard was very confident in statements to Espabox: “I have no doubt that I am going to win. My goal is to win and that’s what I’m going to do. I’m not worried at all, I have enough resources to box at all distances, Tassi is a fighter who doesn’t hit and in conclusion, I see a victory more than feasible”.
The two fighters think that the winner could dispute the European Union title, being named title contender, but they could also continue exploiting the WBC route. Although we are very much against the exaggerated number of belts and championships that exist today, we know that the way of intermediate titles is an option that many boxers use to access the lists of each organization. Speculations aside, we expect a great battle and we wish “Rayito” all the luck.
