On Tuesday, Bayern Munich will host Barcelona in their second group stage match in the 2022-23 Champions League. Both teams are unbeaten in their respective domestic divisions and will be eager for a big win after the German club won both encounters last year.
Bayern Munich is yet to lose a match this season, but they have drawn two of their previous three. The Bundesliga giants defeated Inter 2-0 in their opening group match to start their season on a high note.
Barcelona has won five straight games, including a 5-1 triumph over Viktoria Plezn. Former Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has scored four goals in his past two games, including a hat-trick in the Champions League opening.

Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann will be missing Kingsley Coman and Bouna Sarr against Barcelona in the Champions League. Due to injury, both players have been sidelined.
Nagelsmann has a full squad to pick from aside from the injured duo. The Bayern Munich manager has stated that Marcel Sabitzer will partner Joshua Kimmich in midfield, while Lucas Hernandez will also start.
|Defenders||Stanisic, Mazraoui, Hernandez, Sarr, Pavard, De Ligt, Upamecano|
|Midfielders||Muisala, Gravenberch, Davies, Sabitzer, Wanner, Choupo-Moting, Sane, Goretzka, Kimmich|
|Forwards||Gnabry, Coman, Mane, Muller, Tel|
Sergi Roberto did not play in Barcelona’s game against Cadiz, but he was named to the 25-man team that traveled to Germany.
Xavi will be faced with a selection issue because he has a full-fit team from which to choose his starting lineup. For the first time, Robert Lewandowski will lead the Barcelona attack against his former team.
|Goalkeepers||Ter Stegen, Pena|
|Defenders||Bellerin, Pique, Araujo, Christensen, Alonso, Alba, Kounde, Garcia|
|Midfielders||Busquets, Pedri, Kessie, Roberto, De Jong|
|Forwards||Dembele, Lewandowski, Ansu Fati, Torres, Depay, Raphinha|
The Law of the Ex is unbreakable: a great player ALWAYS scores against his former club in a big game, and I have a feeling Lewandowski will have a tremendous night at the Allianz Arena one final time: 2-2 draw, game for the ages, great performances from both teams, and a Lewy Double.
These lines don’t make sense just by looking at them. Barcelona has pounded everyone in their path since a scoreless draw in La Liga play to start the season, while Bayern Munich has struggled in domestic action.
Bayern are particularly struggling defensively, and while the offense is among the finest in the world, it hasn’t been able to compensate for the shortcomings at the back.
Backing Barcelona at the current odds could be a wise move as they attempt to seize control of a harsh Group C that has suddenly become available.
Barcelona moneyline (+310 at Caesars) is my pick.
Bayern Munich will defeat Barcelona 1-3.
