In just a few weeks, some of the world’s best badminton players will be descending on Osaka, Japan, for the DAIHATSU YONEX Japan Open. This prestigious tournament is part of the BWF World Tour and always attracts a top-class field.

The Badminton World Tour is coming to Japan and it’s time to get ready! Here are some tips on how to play like a pro in the upcoming tournament.

When it comes to badminton, practice makes perfect. If you want to be the best player in the world, you must put in the hours on the court. There’s no substitute for hard work and dedication.

If you’re not already a pro, don’t worry – there are plenty of ways to improve your game. One of the best things you can do is to watch other players and learn from their techniques. The best players in the world are always willing to share their secrets, so take advantage of this and pick up some new skills.

Another important tip is to focus on your game and not worry about what other people are doing. It’s easy to get caught up in the competition and lose sight of your own goals. Remember, you’re playing for yourself and not for anyone else.

Finally, don’t forget to have fun! Badminton is a great sport and is even more enjoyable when winning. So go out there and enjoy yourself – you never know, you might just come away with the victory.

Malaysia’s top shuttler hopes to rebound in Osaka after falling in the third round at the World Championships in Tokyo. Here’s how you can keep up with the action during the BWF World Tour Super 750 tournament.

Following a challenging World Championships last week, Malaysian badminton sensation Lee Zii Jia will be seeking for an immediate comeback at the Japan Open in Osaka, which takes place from August 30 to September 4, 2022.

Lee, the world’s fifth-ranked shuttler entering the Worlds, was defeated in his third match of the competition by eventual semi-finalist Zhao Junpeng of China.

It was a letdown for the Malaysian, who had skipped previous World Tour events as well as the Commonwealth Games to focus on the World Championships.

He was eliminated in the second round of his most recent World Tour event, the Malaysia Open, by a lower-ranked player.

The reigning Asian champion will now try to recapture his form from earlier in the season when he won the Thailand Open and advanced to three World Tour semi-finals.

A tough draw awaits, but the Malaysian should be able to get through it on his day.

His first match is against Kidambi Srikanth, the captain of India’s Thomas Cup-winning squad, whose World Championship run was similarly interrupted by Zhao Junpeng.

If you beat Kidambi, you’ll face either world number 14 Tsuneyama Kanta or world number 16 Wang Tzu-Wei in the quarter-finals, followed by a possible quarter-final against third seed Anders Antonsen.

Momota Kento, the two-time world champion, and Indonesia’s Jonatan Christie are possible semi-final opponents. However, India’s rising star, Lakshya Sen, might also be in the mix.

The most likely final opponent would be top seed Viktor Axelsen, who now possesses both the Olympic and world titles.
