Andy Ruiz’s search for another heavyweight title continues on Sunday when he faces Luis Ortiz, a Cuban two-time world title challenger, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Ruiz’s reputation was built on his upset victory against Anthony Joshua in 2019, but it was shattered later that year when he lost to Joshua in the rematch in Saudi Arabia.
Ruiz won his rematch against Chris Arreola in May 2019 and has lost weight substantially in recent months.
Ortiz is a seasoned performer who last fought on New Year’s Day, stopping Charles Martin.
